Calcite with Chalcopyrite from the Sweetwater Mine in Reynolds County, Missouri. The crystals coming out of the Sweetwater mine are some of the most beautiful yellow calcites available, particularly of those calcites from the U.S. In my opinion, they are second only to those from the famed Elmwood Mine, but the Sweetwater Calcites come at a much more affordable price point.
These are gorgeous Calcites that will look great in any collection. The addition of the Chalcopyrite makes from a shimmering, sparkling specimen that looks fantastic on display!
This listing is for one yellow Calcite crystal cluster with excellent terminations and clarity on a bed of matrix covered with Chalcopyrite. This piece was cut so that the base allows the specimen to self-stand in a variety of ways. It displays very well. There is one larger Calcite crystal in the middle with a cluster of smaller-sized crystals on the edge/side. The Chalcopyrite adds a beautiful contrast.
